3 Day Weekend!

Well as we all get back to the daily bustle of our routines, I am sure I’m not the only one who had a spectacular weekend.  Once, I recovered from the debaucheries of New Year’s… it was time for friends, laughter and booze, yes booze.

Saturday, I went to the range. My friend took me to Memorial Shooting Center, the staff was super nice so I now highly recommend it. Don’t ask me what I shot because I don’t know – a gun. Overall, it was so much fun and liberating knowing that I could actually do it. My friend who took me was even impressed – well considering i had never held a gun ever in my 30 years of life.  I can’t  wait to try shooting a shotgun next, oohhh thats gonna be really different but exciting.  Later, I met up some friends at Jinya Ramen. No, i didn’t eat pho but everything else I had was pretty stellar.  Then a drink at this tiki bar called Lei Low, I had been there before, if you haven’t been- it’s an nice secret bar.

Sunday afternoon some friends and I threw a surprise birthday brunch for an amazing friend. We all “SURPRISE’d” her at Chuchara, another amazing mexican restaurant in Houston. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The drinks were great, the food was to die for, and well it helped that the company was those I keep near and dear. The party continued at Royal Oak and broke every New Year’s resolutions … but I was good and in bed by nine 🙂

Sorry for the late post… Wow cannot believe it is already Thursday!

New Years Day….

Wow is really all I have to say about last night … what can I say – I really did have a lot of fun. Today… not so much. I plead quilty to the ‘I probably had way too much to drink’ but no worries, I didn’t drive home until this morning. Once I got home I became a hermit until it was time to go to yoga.

So I had never been to a yoga studio before, even though I had done it at home before. I got a mat for myself for christmas and it was part of my ‘bucket list’ for 2016. So I went with my sister to the opening of Black Swan on White Oak. AMAZING!! Super nice staff, beautiful building, and the instructor we had… she was thebomb.com! Definitely kicked my ass, I was sweating from places that I didn’t know they were capable of sweating. Now I know why a lot of my friends are yoga junkies. This shit is amazing! It even cured most of my hangover. Actually thinking of getting a membership, the downside – the drive from Katy.

Tomorrow is another adventure….

NYE!

New year’s eve, you have finally arrived. I started it off with a ridiculous workout and girls night with my BFF last night – we even had a sleepover. Now a day of running errands to get ready for tonight. Can’t say that I was looking forward to it this year, but oh how things change so quickly. I really thought I would be in bed with a bottle of champagne, but hey the unexpected has happened!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and an amazing night. Please be safe and use UBER or yellow cab!!

I leave ya’ll with one of my favorite songs I get to play over and over this time of year… well I do it randomly too 🙂
