No place I’d rather be…

Its funny how life works. How the devil makes you question yourself, question others and their motives. You just have to realize what’s right and meant for you and what isn’t. I recently saw this quote on Instagram that said “I wanted you to fuck me but then I got greedy and I wanted you to love me”. That is so my life in a literary pickle. I want to just have fun and then I have that girl desperation for bae. I need to learn to realize, that no matter what – don’t chase it. I should start with deleting people off my phone, facebook and other social media. On the flip side guys are all talk… let’s not forget the phrase from a couple weeks back ‘You’re the one, I want marry you… ‘ blah blah blah. Haven’t seen or heard from this person, nor do I really want to, since I had known them only a week when they said this to me. Is it so hard to find someone you like, that actually wants you, that’s not a complete creep, that wants to spoil you in every way – YES – clearly. For now I have caved back to Bumble and Happn. I’m sure there will be plenty of blog material .

Last weekend however I did get to see a very special friend. She came into town for her best friend’s birthday, and I got to enjoy both of them. We went to Poison Girl and Lola’s Depot, it was a very good time. Looking forward to the Fall when I get to go to LA for her wedding. It is the only reason I would ever want to go there. I even got my dress already, and the pictures don’t do it justice. For now it is time for work work work work, but i’m off this weekend, so we will see what shenanigans I can get into between a kid’s birthday party and my cousin coming into town.

The beautiful game

Well last weekend was the Final four, needless to say I never made it out to any events. I wanted to, but had no one to drag with me. To think it is only a glimpse of what February is going to be like when the Super Bowl hits town. Last time I was too young to experience any of it, so should be interesting. My luck i’ll probably be working, or everyone will be out of town.

I did finally get to go to this amazingly beautiful Hindu temple we have close to Sugar Land. It makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a different land. It was pretty cool and I got some pretty good pictures. For info visit their website here. Definitely worth the drive out.

However, some random things have been going on. Sunday I drove out to see friends when this guy finally gets his act together and asks me to meet him up. I get there to be very surprised. He’s fat, shorter than me, and well very rude. He called me boring and told me he needed to go take a nap after one drink and flirting with the girl next to him at the bar. Needless to say I should have blown him off and stayed with my friends, because then all I did the rest of the day was watch GIRLS.

Wednesday was a nice change of pace. Nothing like good adult conversation, laughter and a possible new guy. I guess only time will tell, can’t really read him. Plus I won’t be able to see him for an undetermined amount of time due to scheduling. Regardless I’m looking forward to my 3 day weekend. My friend comes in from California and there are a ton of things going on. The only damper maybe this stomach flu/ food poisoning I may have. Hopefully it is nothing and I can actually enjoy myself because the weather is absolutely beautiful.

It’s been a good one!

What can I say other than I have pretty amazing friends. I haven’t had many days off lately but still managed to have a couple of days with some great people. Friday afternoon was spent with friends and wine. At Boheme and then Sonoma where I got a little bit of Paris. Saturday was spent with my mini-me. I gave him the option of bluebonnets or playground, he said – BOTH!

So we drove up 290 in search of one of those amazing Texas wildflower fields. Found one close to Chappell Hill, encased in a white fence, probably the prettiest field I had ever seen. He was kinda afraid to sit in the grass, I don’t know if it was the grass or the flowers. Then we drove to the heights to Donovan Park. Yeah I know, I passed up probably a thousand playground to just get to this one. I really had been wanting to find the time to take him to this one. It’s a pretty cool one. After being sweaty and red as a tomato, he went in search of pizza and landed at Starr. I had not been in there in so long, but it did not disappoint.

After a couple of days of work, I managed to get my act together and go out for my dear Tep. So back to Boheme it was, man I am glad I went. Met some new peeps and I got to see some that I had not seen in months. Then realizing you’ve known them for 11/12 years was eye opening. Why must time move so fast. If it could slow down just a bit, maybe we could get more done or appreciate more.

One more shift and then a nice actual weekend off. The Final Four are in town, my bracket died a long time ago when KU lost, but I’m looking forward to maybe going out and enjoying some of the fun. We will see. Till next time!
