Time flies too quick

Wow well it’s safe to say it’s been a while but I guess time flies when you’re having fun. I just can’t believe July is basically over. I mean I’m having a really good time but please slow down just slightly. Would like to say it hasn’t been really eventful for me other than work work work work work but it can’t be all I do. I did have some pretty fabulous dates lately and tried out some new places to eat and yes there’s a nice little review.

I guess I’d definitely bring all the boys to yard but it’s weird. It’s either I’m overwhelmed with the messages or there’s nothing, the proverbial feast or famine. So in the last 3 weeks I have been on my fair share of dates with wonderful people and not so wonderful people. You know it doesn’t matter what website you’re on, you’re looking for that hot steamy love. There’s always that question of so how many people is he talking to? who is he sleeping with? and why can’t people just be honest with each other? Why can’t it be easy like in those fairy tales we were fed as children. So I have to ask, when did courting become everybody’s game not just your own? I guess you can thank these thousands of dating websites and apps and everybody having just way too many choices. I guess we think that there is a better one around the corner, but what if we have already met the better one? What if we’ve already had the best share that we’re going to get? I guess those are the  what if’s of life.

Any who time for those restaurant reviews! So a week ago Tuesday, I went to this really great place called True Foods. It is in The Galleria next to the ginormous Whole Foods. Very laid-back atmosphere definitely a place where you go with your girlfriends for lunch and possibly brunch. I had the steak street tacos which were absolutely delicious. Probably not the best thing to have for ‘breakfast’ but amazing and my date was pretty Charming too. So I can’t complain. The next place I tried last week was Tony’s. So this place has been around probably as long as I’ve been alive but I’ve never been there. Never had the pleasure of someone taking me to this amazing Houston staple. It’s a definitely must do once in a lifetime at least kind of dinner. The same Charming man that took me to lunch a couple days before took me to this wonderful dinner. The moscato was fabulous, the lobster ravioli was delicious, the Ahi Tuna was to die for and the risotto I would like some delivered. I had the halibut for dinner which I couldn’t even finish because I was so full just from the appetizers but yet the manager decided to bring me some flour-less chocolate cake on top of everything else. Needless to say I don’t have a single bad thing to say other than everybody should go there, everybody should  splurge a little and go. Well obviously don’t have the $26 an ounce steak but at least go there for the risotto.

Only time will tell if this Charming man will be seen again but for now I will be relaxing at home until Monday with my child. However I did receive my first Sol Theory box. Yes! please go check them out the sunnies are amazing. The ones I got are definitely not something I would buy myself but I love them. They are definitely something I will wear the rest of the summer. Remember it’s a monthly subscription box so you can get one or two pairs of sunglasses and add an accessory along with your sunglasses how amazing is that! A little gift in the mail just like your Popsugar must have or Funfitfab or your quarterly RZ Box of Style it’s definitely a good addition to that.

Well in the coming months I have to schedule sinus surgery and a my scuba certification classes. Maybe. Yes it looks like I have a couple of trips coming up. Kinda exciting, but I also have school to deal with and possibly looking for another job – I am going to need the extra income. That is it for now, people stay hydrated! it is hot out there. Almost even too hot for the pool!

XOXO
