While my five-cheese lasagna bakes, I finally have time to write!! yay!! I did not remember how long it takes to cook. Can’t say the week has been terribly exciting, it’s been pretty meh. I did enjoy the streaming from Coachella 2016 on YouTube for week one. It is a brilliant outlet for those of us that can’t be there . They give you the schedule, a camera at each stage and the ability to pause and come back later! Friday night I was at work but I was still able to catch Of Monsters and Men, Jack U, M83 and Ellie Goulding. Saturday after running around town I caught the amazing performance of James Bay Silversun Pickups, Matoma, Lost Frequencies, and Halsey. I purposely stayed away from the Chvrches and Disclosure sets since I have tickets to their Houston shows, well as much as I could.
Sunday morning was spent taking my cousin around town. Showing her the most that I could in a small amount of time. Took a walk around downtown, a drive around Montrose and West U, to end up at Cyclones in Rice Village. It was a beautiful day until the rain came. Which the gave me loads of time to watch Sunday’s sets. Cold War Kids, the 1975, Wolf Alice, Maceo Plex, Edward Sharpe, Chainsmokers, Flume, Sia and Calvin Harris. It was a pretty epic day, I’m still reliving the Sia set. So was the thunderstorm of that night. It not only flooded the city but also my town, and has led to a multi day fiasco of rain and floodwaters all over the place.
But thru the miracle of pre-orders and Amazon, I got a new book. That i’m actually reading, and if you know me, i don’t really read. The Betches ‘I had a nice time and Other Lies’ is hysterical. I spent most of last night reading and laughing. They definitely have a amazing way to give advise and make you look at yourself all while making you laugh. I am taking their advice to heart. So for now no new boys, just focus on me and what I need to do. Like right now go take care of this lasagna.
XOXO
Ana
