Man it sure has been a long couple of weeks. Between working, packing, and moving I need a vacation. I worked 7 out of 8 days, with only 36 hours off I used it for packing. Then I got my keys, very big girl moment and dove right into getting my place all squared away. So I whisked my parents over to IKEA, mainly for help with the cart pushing. Two flat bed carts, a bag cart, and a grand later, YIKES. Don’t get me wrong I love IKEA, but the day that I can furnish my whole entire house with Pottery Barn, I will. Two barstools, two small bookshelves, and no injuries until i got to the dresser drawers. I had never been pinched so hard that it left a hematoma.
Needless to say my left index finger became completely useless. I spent most of last Thursday packing getting ready for Truck Friday, and my by the time I thought I was done, there was actually still thing hiding in the closet. The movers came and went and my closet was still there, waiting for me. Lesson learned though, never not putting everything in a box and never trying to move on my own. Paying for someone to move you, is a great investment. I mean ask my crazy bruises. By Saturday afternoon i was pretty settled in. Took a nap even.
Thank god for my bestfriend whisking me away for some adult fun time. Local Pour was the spot of choice. Pretty place, older crowd, drinks were good, and there was a live cover band. Not a bad choice for a random saturday night. Afterwards we went to Velvet Taco, and yes I had not been there, Not really impressed since I do have major love for Torchys. What can I say, I like what I like. Morning came with the painful reminder of too many drinks and shots in a small amount of time. Mind you we didn’t even get to the bar till 12:30. My snaps said that I was hysterical, my laundry list of drunken text said another. Can someone take the phone away next time sheesh. As I cleaned up my mess I was accused of being a party girl. Wow jerk you think that now, you should have met me ten years ago when i went out six days a week and had three jobs.
Brunch fixes all, well most of the time. Revival market was amazing and just what the doctor ordered. Cappuccino, eggs over easy, bacon and toast. Perfect end to the adult time, since I had quite a bit of school stuff to do. That pretty much sums up everything. Now back to the routine, and who knows how long i’ll have to stay in.
XOXO
Ana
